Four weeks, one mentee, and a laptop to keep going

In 2022, Araba ran its first mentorship programme for female students. Over four weeks, our mentee worked one-to-one with a mentor on her studies, goals and next steps.

At the end of the programme, she received a ₦100,000 grant towards buying a laptop, a tool she needed to keep studying, building skills and applying for opportunities.

This is the model we're building on: practical guidance, a mentor who stays with you, and the support to act on what you've learned. Future cohorts will grow through our Employment pillar and African CareerBank.
