Biometric screening and wellness seminar for teachers in Lagos

Teachers carry the future of every girl we hope to reach, and their health matters too. In April 2024, Araba Women Empowerment Foundation, supported by the Bet9ja Foundation, held a biometric screening and corporate wellness seminar for teachers in Education District 1, Lagos State.

Teachers received free health screenings and took part in a wellness session on looking after their health alongside the demands of the classroom. Screenings like these help catch common conditions early, when they're easiest to manage, and give teachers practical steps to stay well.

The programme reflects our Education pillar: girls learn best when the teachers in front of them are healthy and supported.
